Robert Comins

Robert grew up in Bethlehem, Pa. He has been studying Martial Arts for 24 years. He started his studies doing Shorin No Tora Karate in the Lehigh Valley. He joined the Air Force in 1998 which took him all around the world. He studied Kenpo, Wing Chun, Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, and Aikido on the west coast. He has also studied Krav Maga in Italy and Hapkido in South Korea. He instructed Hapkido in Japan for 2 years. He teaches all ages currently.

His youngest student is 7 and his oldest students are in their 80’s. Robert retired from the Air Force in July of 2014, where he was a physical training leader for 7 years. He also coached track at Liberty High School for 4 years. He holds college degrees in Applied Science, Culinary Arts and Exercise Science. He is a Certified Exercise Physiologist. His certification is through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Robert is also CPR, AED and first aid certified. He holds a 3rd degree black belt in Hapkido, 2nd degree black belt in Kuk Sool Hapkido, 1st degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and instructors levels in Kung Fu and Tai Chi.

Chelsea Walp

Starting at age five, Chelsea spent eight years practicing gymnastics which made her truly value coordination, flexibility & strength. Throughout high school & college she transitioned through sports such as tennis, track & field, softball and competitive cheer-leading. Athletics & fitness in general have always been of great importance to her which is how she ended up studying Exercise Science at West Chester University. While at WCU Chelsea minored in coaching & nutrition as these areas of study also peaked her interest. Following graduation, she worked as a personal trainer for two years in both Pittsburgh & Allentown before deciding to return to school at East Stroudsburg University in 2015.

Chelsea earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Science from ESU. Following her graduation she decided to stay there to teach the undergraduate Exercise Science lab-based classes for one year. When she’s not exercising, she’s teaching others to exercise in the form of diagnostic cardiac testing or cardiac rehabilitation. Four total years as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist has made her appreciate ability, health & wellness on many levels. With her wide range of experience she would like to share as much as possible with the community here at Valley Wellness Center!

Heather Boyko

Heather is a recent graduate from Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She’s currently enrolled at LCCC in the physical therapist assistant program. Heather decided to become a personal trainer because of her own passion for working out and the reward she feels from helping clients reach their fitness goals. She is a certified personal trainer through American Council of Exercise and her primary training focus is on strength and circuit training.

Tricia Schulberger

Helping people reach their fitness goals is a privilege Tricia takes very seriously. We all come to the table with our own history, which could include injuries, illness, chronic stress, muscle imbalances, etc. It’s important to initially address any such issues, so that together we can build a solid foundation that ultimately leads to a healthier and happy you. It’s equally important to laugh and have fun in the process. Tricia is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the National Academy of Sport Medicine, and hold dual barre certifications through BootyBarre and Barre Above. I believe in creating well balanced plans specific to each client’s needs.
When not at the gym, Tricia works as a Territorial Sales Manager for a large Christmas decor manufacture, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dog. She’s also known to wear leg warmers while busting a move on the dance floor!!

Family Hours (Junior Members)

During family hours junior members under 12 years may use the Climbing Cove(ages 5+ with valid climbing card), Gymnasium, Therapy Pool and Lane 1 of lap pool with adult member supervision.
